Blake Shelton

Country music superstar and Platinum-selling recording artist Blake Shelton takes a song from his current album If I’m Honest to bill his 2017 “Doing It To Country Songs” tour. Shelton and special guest RaeLynn, who announced the tour in a “Newlyweds” style game on Facebook Live in early 2017.

Shelton is also adding Season 11 champion Jason "Sundance" Head to his 2017 "Doing It To Country Songs" tour!

I’m just elated and really excited about being able to perform with a great entertainer and learn something from him while I’m on the road. It’s going to be the most fun thing I’ve ever done,” added Head.

The tour follows the 2016 release of Shelton’s 10th studio album, If I’m Honest, which was not only the biggest selling album in the week of its release, but also the best-selling country album released this year.

He is the modern-day face of country music. Whether he’s hosting SNL, being featured on 60 Minutes or swiveling in his familiar chair on The Voice, Blake Shelton is the genre’s impeccably dressed ambassador. And while it’s his personality—the irrepressible and unpredictable country charmer inside that handsome exterior—that opens the door, it is his truly impressive musical cred as an entertainer and premier vocalist that seals the deal.

Nowhere is that more evident than in Reloaded: 20 #1 Hits, a collection of chart-toppers from a singer whose career just keeps getting stronger, as a current run of 16 #1s in a row attests. As impressive as that streak is, it is just one aspect of a career that has superstar status written all over it. Blake is a five time consecutive CMA’s Male Vocalist of the Year and his collection of gold and platinum singles and albums is well past the two-dozen mark. His 21 #1 singles are a cross-section of styles and tempos, unified by a sometimes-underestimated set of pipes and Blake’s sheer charisma and believability as a singer.

“The only common thread I’ve found,” he says with a characteristic grin, “is there are a lot of songs about guys trying to pick up girls. I’ve said it many times—I’ve always been obsessed with that song ‘The Chair’ that Dean Dillon wrote for George Strait, and the whole song was a pickup line! I look now at my history and I probably didn’t realize it but I was always gearing that way—romantic, fun and so country. A lot of my songs fit the bill: ‘Sure Be Cool If You Did, ‘Honey Bee,’ ‘Who Are You When I’m Not Looking,’ ‘Sangria,’ ‘Lonely Tonight,’ ‘My Eyes.’”

Opening the tour is Warner Bros. / Warner Music Nashville recording artist RaeLynn, whose current single “Love Triangle” is the powerful first track from her forthcoming debut album WildHorse. She was recently selected as a CMT Next Women of Country honoree and a 2017 “Country Artist to Watch” by Pandora Radio.

RaeLynn has been one of the highest selling female country artists, alongside industry heavyweights Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, with her songs selling nearly 960,000 total digital copies and being streamed over 60 million times.

Sundance's father, Roy Head, was in the band The Traits, best known for their 1965 hit, "Treat Her Right." When Sundance was 9, his older brother passed away in a tragic car accident, and his dad began to slow down his music career. At age 20, Sundance had the opportunity to record with ZZ Top through a connection from his dad, but started to play music professionally 13 years later. He put a band together called Sundance Head that plays all over Texas. His wife of nine years is his manager.
